Zadruga Komorica (Cooperative Komorica) was founded in October 2009 with the aim of manufacturing and selling authentic souvenirs of the Bednja region.

Products of Komorica will primarily be oriented towards visitors of Trakošćan where they will have a stall but members of Cooperative will make all sorts of authentic products according to customer orders.

Members of Cooperative Komorica are especially good at making original Bednja folk costume souvenir.

All products of members of Komorica are original handmade authentic Bednja souvenirs.

Finally, why the name Komorica? Komorica or Këmüerico in the Bednja dialect was a very small room in traditional wooden house (hiža) in Zagorje. It was so small that you could barely put a bed, a wardrobe and a chest in it. It was the room for the newlyweds. The chest was part of the bride´s dowry. The things in the chest were authentic homemade products. Since the word komorica or këmüerico in Bednja dialect means something little, modest and authentic and at the same time very charming, arousing pleasant memories, members of Cooperative decided to name it Komorica. It also reminds of tradition and customs of the Bednja region.
